President: Iran resolved to improve ties with neighbors

IMG18271000 Iran’s president has said Iran is resolved to maintain and extend friendly relations with Islamic countries especially neighbors.
Hassan Rouhani who was receiving the credentials of new Saudi Arabian ambassador to Iran, Abdur-Rahman bin Gharman al-Shahri on Monday, pointed to place of Iran and Saudi Arabia in the world of Islam.

“Tehran and Riyadh enjoy high potentials to boost relations,” said Rouhani, “cooperation between two countries would prove useful for the security and stability of the region.”

President Rouhani believed that the Islamic Republic of Iran was resolved to maintain a cooperative policy in the region. “The 11th Cabinet will seek to extend the relations with its brother and friend country of Saudi Arabia in all political, economic, regional, and cultural aspects, and it welcomes sharing views on important regional and international issues,” Rouhani told to the ambassador.

“Currently, the whole region is under the impact of terrorism and extremism, and the rift between Islamic faiths incited unnecessarily has created undesirable atmosphere in the region,” Rouhani believed, and that “an Iran and Saudi cooperation would bring more satisfactory conditions for the region.”
