President of Islamic Iran: US policies spell doom for America

Iran’s President Mahmoud Ahmadinejad has lambasted Washington for its ‘colonialist’ policies and stated that the US pursuit of such hegemonic practices harbingers the US empire’s downfall.

The Iranian chief executive told CNN in a Saturday interview that the US government has earned itself the position of a ‘hated’ administration as it ‘encroaches upon the independence of sovereign nations.’

President Ahmadinejad lashed out at the US administration for continuing America’s domineering policies and interfering in the affairs of other countries.

“The American administration should change [its] policies [as] these have failed both domestically and internationally,” noted Ahmadinejad.

He warned the US statesmen to abandon such policies that will only “lead to the collapse of the US empire.”

The Iranian president once again dismissed as ‘baseless’ Washington’s recent allegation which purported that Tehran was involved in a foiled assassination plot against the Saudi envoy to the US on American soil.

Ahmadinejad reiterated that some Western countries have been attempting to drive a wedge between Iran and Saudi Arabia by means of ‘divisional’ schemes.

Last week, the US Justice Department accused Iran of involvement in a plot to assassinate Saudi Ambassador to Washington Adel al-Jubeir with help from a suspected member of a Mexican drug cartel.

Tehran vehemently rejected the charges as ‘tactless and preposterous,’ saying that the publicity stunt fabricated by Washington is an attempt to deflect international attention from the anti-corruption and anti-corporatism protests currently rocking the country.
