President Rohani: Iran, land of stability

President Hassan Rohani said in Tehran on Monday that Iran is the land of stability.

According to IRNA, making the remarks during inauguration ceremony of his Interior Minister Abdolreza Rahmani Fazli, he referred to the inherent task of the Interior Ministry as providing security.
He regretted that enemies are hatching numerous plots.
Outlining the most urgent issues in the country which have to be addressed soon, he referred to many topics in economic, social, cultural and environmental areas but said the situation in Orumiyeh Lake is among the most pressing ones.
Expressing concern over the lake’s situation, he said failure to stop the drying of the water pond will be of disastrous outcomes for the country because it affects lives of 14 million Iranians.
Meanwhile, Rohani said that extremism would damage national interest, Islamic Ummah and global security.
Referring to his government as ˈtrans-factionalˈ, the President said no official in his government has the right to discriminate against different tribes, faiths or religious minorities and their followers. President Hassan Rohani described situation in the country as “particular” and said he would provide the nation with the real report of the country’s status.
Also, the President said “The real situation of the country is different from what we have been told in the past years.”
He said he is not going to make his personal judgment on the issue since he believed it was the nation who was to judge.
