Iranian President Hassan Rouhani blasted Israel for its crimes against the Palestinians and support for the terrorist groups, and said the regime was created and continues its life based on terrorism.

“Certain governments are created based on terrorism and see their survival in light of terrorism and its clear instance is the fake Zionist regime in the Palestinian territories,” Rouhani said on Monday, addressing a congress in Tehran to commemorate the Iranians martyred by the terrorist groups.

“The (Israeli) government and regime basically started its job based on intimidation, terrorism and occupation and today it is continuing the same anti-human path,” he added.

Elsewhere, Rouhani blasted the western states’ double-standard approach towards terrorism, and said, “Terrorism will not be annihilated as long as collective determination and real resolve is not created in the world.”

“Today, there are powers in Europe and the US which keep mum on a terrorist grouplet and support a terrorist regime but are opposed to another terrorist group,” he said.

Rouhani referred to the spread of terrorism in the world since the US invasion of Iraq in 2003 despite the western powers’ mottoes about campaign against terrorist groups, and asked how the world powers claim that they are unaware of the way the terrorist groups in Iraq and Syria make revenues through crude sales to the regional countries, while the same powers say that they can identify the vehicles’ plate numbers with the help of their satellites.

He also voiced regret that certain regional Muslim states support terrorism and supply the terrorist groups with weapons and financial resource, and said, “Don’t they think that one day it will be their turn? No doubt that any regional country that helps the terrorists and massacre of innocents and Muslims, terrorism will backfire on them sooner or later.”

In relevant remarks on Saturday, Iranian Parliament Speaker Ali Larijani called for the regional states’ collective efforts to fight foreign-backed terrorists in a bid to prevent spread of terrorism to the other parts of the Middle East.

“There is a great gap between words and deeds; we see wars in the battlefields and in conferences everyone talks about democracy,” Larijani told reporters.

He pointed to the ongoing crises of Yemen and Syria, and said, “The crises in Syria and Yemen can only be resolved if the wills of the two nations are taken into account.”

The Iranian parliament speaker pointed to the plans proposed by some Western countries for resolving the Syrian and Yemeni crises, and said, “Some powerful countries proposed plans to resolve the crises in Yemen and Syria; we believe that such proposals would not work because they do not address the wills of the nations.”
