Pro-Assad Government Demonstration in Tunisia

Tunisian people rallied in front of the interior and tourism ministries at the center of the capital city Tunis to support President Bashar al-Assad government.

Xinhua reported from Tunis that on Saturday demonstrators severely protested against the Tunisian government’s decision to recognize the new coalition of the Syrian opposition in Doha.

Carrying placards and banners and chanting pro-Syrian slogans, the demonstrators condemned the globally planned scheme aimed at dealing blow to the resistance and forcing Arab nations to submit.

The participants of the rally also denounced the conspiratorial stance of the Tunisian government against Syria.

They denounced the western, Turkish and Qatari plots against Syria, too.

The demonstration was held under intensive security measures.
