Protest leader vows to seize Thai capital in New

AFP reported on Sunday, Suthep Thaugsuban told demonstrators in the capital, wait for our signal and bring your clothes and food with you, because we’ll fight for months until we achieve victory.
Protesters have camped out for the past month to demand the resignation of caretaker Prime Minister Yingluck Shinawatra.
They say she is a puppet for her brother Thaksin, who was ousted as premier in a 2006 military coup and lives abroad to avoid a two-year jail term for corruption.
Suthep, a former deputy prime minister from the opposition Democrat Party said, as for my brothers and sisters in Bangkok, we will not leave an inch of this capital city for the people of the Thaksin regime to stay in and take advantage of the people.
Yingluck has called a snap general election for February 2, which her party is widely expected to win.
But protesters have vowed to sabotage the polls and the Democrats will boycott them.
Reports said they are demanding political reforms before participating in elections.
Candidate registration took place across the country Saturday, but was cancelled in eight southern provinces when protesters blocked officials from doing their duties.
Three people – a policeman and two protesters – have been shot dead during clashes in Bangkok this week.
