Protesters stage anti-ISIL rally in London

375598_Iraq-ISILHundreds of protesters have taken to the streets of the British capital of London, denouncing the ISIL Takfiri militants’ killings of civilians in Iraq and accusing Turkey of supporting the terrorist group, Press TV reports.

The protesters voiced anger at the Takfiri group and called for humanitarian assistance for those affected by the ISIL violence.

Protest organizer, Hosmand Jaff, said the demonstrators want the international community to know about the atrocities committed by the ISIL militants in Iraq’s mountainous Sinjar region, as well as Iraq’s Kurdistan and Syria and who is supporting the terrorist group.

“We just want the whole world to know who is supporting them so they can be stopped from the root,” said Jaff, adding that “they need to be stopped really quickly; otherwise they are going to be a threat to the whole world, not just the Middle East.”

In addition, the demonstrators called on Western governments to exert pressure on their allies who are assisting the terrorist group, especially their NATO ally, Turkey, accusing Turkey of fuelling the violence in the region.

Adnan Kochar, the president of the Kurdish Culture Center said Turkey is “automatically and directly” responsible for what is taking place in Syria, as they are sending ISIL to “destroy the economy of Syria.”

Kochar added that during the four years of violence in Syria, wounded ISIL militants have been treated at hospitals in Turkey.

He furthermore noted that Turkey will continue to support the Takfiri group as “they want to destroy Iraq and Syria.”

The London protest followed reports that over 80 Iraqi Izadi Kurds were killed by the ISIL militants and hundreds of women kidnapped as slaves when the terrorist group attacked the northern Iraqi village of Kocho.

The ISIL has taken several towns since it intensified its attacks in Iraq in mid-June. The terrorist group has been committing heinous crimes in those areas, including the mass execution of civilians as well as army troops and officers.

The Iraqi army is engaged in fierce fighting with the ISIL militants to push them out of the captured areas.
