Qom Prayer Leader: Islamic Republic of Iran does not seek war

n00201033-b

Ayatollah Hoseyni-Bushehri said that the US has repeatedly threatened Iran with military action over the past 36 years and stressed that Iran does not seek war, but if an unwanted war is imposed on it, all the enemies of the Iranian nation will regret their decision.

During his Friday prayer sermon delivered to a large and fervent crowd of believers in Qom Hujjat al-Islam Hoseyni-Bushehri said that US president Barak Obama and some Europeans have “not behaved diplomatically” criticizing presidnet Obama for his “imprudent” remarks over Iran’s nuclear deal with the P5+1 group of countries.

He also hialed the Iranian Minister of Foreign Affairs, Dr Mohammad-Javad Zarif, for his solid response given to such nonsense.

On Wednesday at American University, US president Barak Obama repeated his allegations against Iran’s support of what he called “terrorism and violation of human rights.”

Ayatollah Bushehri said that the US has repeatedly threatened Iran with military action over the past 36 years and stressed that Iran does not seek war, but if an unwanted war is imposed on it, all the enemies of the Iranian nation will regret their decision.

He added that the Americans must speak with dignified manner to the Iranian people, saying that since the victory of the 1979 Islamic Revolution, the enemies have not achieved anything by their threats.

His Eminence explained that after the nuclear issue, the Americans have opened other issues to criticize Iran over – including the issue of human rights.

On the occasion of the seventieth anniversary of the atomic bombings of the Japanese cities of Hiroshima and Nagasaki he said: “Who bombed these cities and killed hundreds of thousands of people in one instance?!”

Qom’s Friday prayers’ leader questioned whether “using atomic bombs is a violation of human right or not” and asked: “Who today supports terrorists? Who supports those who kill children and set them aflame? Who supports those who are killing people in Muslim countries? How can the US with this terrible record of human rights abuses claim to be fighting against terrorism?!”

Ayatollah Bushehri referred to former US president Jimmy Carter’s book [“A Call to Action: Women, Religion, Violence, and Power”] where he says that the US has no honour left and writes that hundreds of thousands of girls are bought and sold as slaves, even in the modern-day United States.

“Does the US want to spread its culture and ‘humanitarianism’ to the world?” he said.

He added that the Iranian people support Islam, the Quran and the Ahlul-Bayt (A) and will stand against the enemies’ foolishness to the end.

Iran proud to be defender of Muslim nations

“The Iranian nation is proud to be the defender of Muslim nations and these people who pretend to advocate for freedom do not allow Muslim girls to attend schools because of their hijab,” he said.
