Quds Demonstrators: Terrorist Acts in Region Aim to Divert Public Opinion from Palestine

13920511000135_PhotoIIranian demonstrators participating in the International Quds Day rallies in Tehran strongly condemned the Zionist occupation of the holy Quds, and stressed that the western-backed terrorist acts in the region are aimed at diverting the world’s public opinion from the Palestinian issue.
In a final statement issued at the end of rallies on the occasion of the Quds Day here in Tehran today, Iranian people support for Holy Quds liberation aspirations and victory of Intifada of oppressed Palestinian nation, while calling for elimination of the usurper and occupying Zionist regime.

In a 10-point statement, issued at the end of the International Quds Day rallies, the demonstrators voiced hatred for the supporters of international Zionism.

Emphasizing that the International Quds Day marks day of Quds, Islam and the call for Islamic Awakening, while being symbol of unity and will of an Islamic nation for liberation of Quds, the statement urged liberation of Quds, the first Keblah of Muslims, and freedom of Palestinians in light of unity and integrity of Muslims and all-out support for Islamic, anti-Zionist resistance and Palestinian Intifada.

Announcing support for Islamic resistance in the occupied territories, Syria and Lebanon as well as removal of Israeli cancerous tumor as the top priority of the world of Islam, the statement strongly condemned terrorist crimes in the region and moves to divert attentions of Muslim Ummah from Palestine issue and revive the fading peace talks. The only solution to Palestine problem is dissolution of the usurper Zionist regime, repatriation of Palestinians and holding a free referendum to decide fate of the Muslim country.

It also condemned efforts of the Zionist regime to distort national and historical identity of Palestine and Judaize the occupied lands and introduce Beit-al-Moqaddas as capital of the forged Zionist state.

It said Egyptian developments are outcome of sinister plot of the hegemonic and arrogant system, specially the criminal US.

Denouncing terrorist crimes in Syria as a result of common plots of the hegemonic system and Arab reactionaries, it said end of foreign intervention is key to problems in Syria.

Elsewhere, the statement condemned the EU placing name of the military wing of Hezbollah in the terrorist groups list, highlighting significance of further vigilance of the Islamic Ummah against plots of enemies of Islam to divert Islamic Awakening.

It also supported popular revolutions in the region, and condemned brutal measures against people in Iraq, Pakistan and Afghanistan as well as Bahraini nation.

The paragraph 9 of the statement said murder of young blacks in the US is a token of racism and spirit of discrimination and injustice of the country’s so-called advocates of human rights and rulers.

At the end, it said Iranian nation would never compromise their absolute right in different fields, and will give a crushing response to any aggression and threat against its territorial integrity and national interests.

Millions of Iranians staged massive rallies in Tehran and other cities on Friday to condemn continued occupation of the Palestinian territories by the Zionist regime and show strong support for Palestinians against Israel on the International Quds Day.

The late founder of the Islamic Republic, Imam Khomeini, in August 1979 declared the last Friday of the Muslim holy month of Ramadan as Quds Day, calling for international rallies in support of Palestinians and against Israel.
