Raad: Resistance Will Not Give Up Right of Sovereignty, Rejects US Intervention

Loyalty to the Resistance Bloc Head MP Mohammad Raad said that Lebanon and its Resistance will not allow any violation to its national dignity and sovereignty, and reject usurpation of even one iota of its right whether in land or regional waters.
In a memorial service in the Southern village of Hallousiyeh on Monday, Raad said there exists a strategic difference between the resistance camp and other camps in the country on dealing with the arms issue.
“The question is will we be able to defend our land from enemy’s violations and assaults if we give up the Resistance arms?” he inquired, adding “giving up arms makes it easy for supremacy schemes to encroach upon our national dignity.”
The MP further assured “Lebanon has become the tough number in the international equation, thanks to the Resistance which has turned the table over the heads of the US and “Israel”, and their policies that aim at engulfing the region’s riches.”
Raad stressed that so far, “Israel” and its supporters have not recovered yet from the defeat it was subject to in Lebanon [2006 victory], reminding that the days of arrogance have come to an end.

“”Israel” realizes that the Resistance will definitely revenge [for any assault] and will give it ‘the thousand hand slap'” in case of any attack,” the MP stated.
Also, Raad pointed out that targeting the Hizbullah’s arms in Lebanon, Syria, and Iran is an attempt to nail the Resistance.

Turning to the Iranian donations to Lebanon, Raad underscored that “The US Assistant Secretary of State for Near Eastern Affairs Jeffrey Feltman arrived in Beirut last week to prevent Lebanon from accepting these donations.”
“There is a group in Lebanon refusing to accept donations from Iran related to energy projects … because US sends officials like Feltman to thwart any attempt to accept Iranian assistance,” he explained.

He added that international resolutions banning countries from carrying out transactions with Tehran were taken solely by the US.
“For twenty years we have been hearing the Americans saying they want to equip the Lebanese army but we have not yet seen anything,” Raad said, adding that “The US was refraining from assisting the Lebanese military institution under a false pretext; that its worried its weapons might fall into the hands of the Resistance.”

“The truth is that they do not want to assist the Lebanese army because it adopts a national choice and wants to stand by the Resistance against the Zionist enemy,” he concluded.
