Rabid ISIL Withdraws from More Positions Following Syrian Army Operation in Southern Damascus

 

The Syrian Army troops continued to advance against ISIL in the Southern part of Damascus province through several flanks, inflicting major losses on the terrorists on Monday.

The army men engaged in fierce clashes with ISIL South of Hajar al-Aswad from Sabineh direction and imposed full control over several areas.

Also, other units of the army managed to take control of several buildings near the road that connects al-A’alaf to al-Asali West of Hajar al-Aswad.

The army men inflicted major losses on the ISIL in their attacks in Qata’a al-Shohada, Share’a Yarmouk Rijeh and Share’a al-Thalthin West of Yarmouk Refuge Camp.

In the meantime, the army’s artillery and missile units and aircraft pounded the movements, command and control posts and positions of the ISIL in Hajar al-Aswad region, Yarmouk camp and parts of the regions of al-Qadam and al-Tazamon, destroying several positions and killing or wounding a large number of the terrorists.

Relevant reports said on Sunday that the army dispatched hundreds of fresh elite forces from Eastern Qalamoun to the Southern part of Damascus province on Sunday to purge the region of ISIL terrorists.

The army forwarded hundreds of elite forces to the Southern part of Damascus province after terrorists in Eastern Ghouta endorsed an evacuation agreement with Damascus to leave the region for Northern Syria.

The elite forces are equipped with modern military hardware.

The army intends to intensify anti-ISIL operation in Southern Damascus.

Also, field sources reported that the pro-government forces have remarkably advanced against terrorists in several flanks in Southern Damascus.
