Rafsanjani: Military strike on Iran would be suicide for Zionist Israel

In a statement issued on Wednesday to mark the Sacred Defense Week, Expediency Council chairman Akbar Hashemi Rafsanjani warned Israel that any military action against Iran will be “an act of suicide”.

Rafsanjani said Israel’s repeated military threats against the Islamic Republic will make Iranians “run out of patience” despite their great tolerance, the Tehran Times reported.

Major General Mohammad Ali Jafari, the commander of the Islamic Revolution Guards Corps, said on Sunday that if Israel attacks Iran, IRGC missiles will leave nowhere intact in Israel and nothing will remain of the country.
