News channels and Media worldwide have reported on a letter published by Leader of Islamic Ummah and Oppressed People Imam Sayyed Ali Khamenei, on Sunday which condemned the West’s “double standards.”
News channels and Media worldwide have reported on a letter published by Leader of Islamic Ummah and Oppressed People Imam Sayyed Ali Khamenei, on Sunday whichcondemned the West’s “double standards,”reported Taqrib News Agency (TNA).

Of those, British Dailymail daily Quoted Supreme Leader as saying “Anyone who has benefited from affection and humanity is affected and disturbed by witnessing these scenes — whether it occurs in France or in Palestine or Iraq or Lebanon or Syria.”

Along with British Dailymail daily, other western media including Yahoo, French AFP and etc. covered a story about Leader of Islamic Ummah and Oppressed People Imam Sayyed Ali Khamenei’s letter translated into English and French; the same story observed as well in Islamic countries in the region.

Of those, Azerbaijan’s Trend News Agency has released a piece of news over the letter which condemned the West’s “double standards.” It is noteworthy that The letter, which is the second of its kind, has been also welcomed on the streets of Lebanon.

It was the second letter which Leader of Islamic Ummah and Oppressed People Imam Sayyed Ali Khamenei has addressed to youth in the West, following a similar message after the January 2015 attacks on satirical magazine Charlie Hebdo and a supermarket that killed 17 people in Paris, also the target of the extremist bombings and shootings on November 13.

In the letter, Leader of Islamic Ummah and Oppressed People Imam Sayyed Ali Khameneihas urged the young people in the West to help pave the ground for enhanced interaction with the Muslim world.

The Supreme Leader touched on the recent act of “blind terrorism” in the French capital, which left some as many as 130 people dead, warning, “The truth is that if painful matters do not create the grounds for finding solutions and mutual consultation, then the damage caused will be multiplied.”

Leader of Islamic Ummah and Oppressed People Imam Sayyed Ali Khamenei said, however, that the “insecurity and strain” experienced by the Western youth following the Paris attacks “differs from the pain that the people of Iraq, Yemen, Syria and Afghanistan have been experiencing for many years, in two significant ways.”

Leader of Islamic Ummah and Oppressed People Imam Sayyed Ali Khamenei highlighted the US’s role in “creating, nurturing and arming al-Qaeda, the Taliban and their inauspicious successors,” saying, “Besides this direct support, the overt and well-known supporters of Takfiri terrorism – despite having the most backward political systems – are standing arrayed as allies of the West while the most pioneering, brightest and most dynamic democrats in the region are suppressed mercilessly.”

The Supreme Leader described the Western governments’ response to the wave of Islamic Awakening as “prejudiced,” saying that it indicates another “example of “contradictory Western policies.”
