Refinery control system indigenized in Iran

The control system of the refinery, petrochemical, and other related plants of the Islamic Republic will be managed totally domestically and at the hands of Iranian technicians from now on.

According to IRNA, head of Iran Power Plant Projects Management Co., MAPNA’s designing, indigenization, and automation department said on Wednesday in the southern island of Kish, in the Persian Gulf waters, that the automation system had been provided and dealt with by Americans and Germans. However, Mohammad Esmaili noted, all the necessary know-how is now totally indigenized.
He added that the technical expertise of the control system had earlier been supplied by those from the US, Germany, Japan, France and Italy, but sanctions acted as a bliss in disguise in this regard.
Then MAPNA manager said all the control systems inside the country are now working and operational as per the international standards.
