Iraqi religious ulema attending a conference have called on political groups to resolve their differences.

According to IRIB correspondent from Baghdad, the ulema participating in the conference that was held on Sunday in Baghdad emphasized the necessity for maintaining national unity in Iraq and appreciated the efforts made by Ayatollah Sistani for peacefully resolving the crisis in the country.
The representative of Iraq’s minorities’ council, Hunain al-Qaddo said that the Americans and Zionism made great deal of efforts to create discord among the people of Iraq by occupying the country. But the religious ulema led by Ayatollah Sistani foiled this ominous scheme that was aimed at disintegrating the Middle East through creating division.
The head of Iraq’s Chaldean ChristiansShlemon Warduni also called on the Iraqi people to exercise self-restraint and look into their differences in a calm atmosphere and find solutions to the country’s problems.
