Resistance fighters clash with Israeli forces near Beita town

Armed clashes reportedly took place between Palestinian resistance fighters and the Israeli occupation forces (IOF) on Saturday evening in the area of Mount Sobeih in Beita town, south of Nablus.

Local sources said that the exchange of fire happened after resistance fighters opened fire towards Mount Sobeih, where an illegal settler outpost is located.

Consequently, the IOF intensified its presence around the mountain and fired volleys of flares that lit up the sky over the area.

As the gunshots kept ringing out, Beita residents were shouting and cheering in support of the Palestinian resistance, according to local sources.

For long months, local youths from Beita town and other areas of Nablus have been organizing evening and nightly protest events as a form of popular resistance against the Israeli presence on Mount Sobeih, which overlooks Palestinian towns.
