Revolutionary Leader: Yemeni People Attach No Value to UNSC Resolution

Yemeni people attach no value to the UN Security Council resolution and intend to topple Ali Abdullah Saleh’s regime by their own hands, a leader of the Yemen’s revolutionary youths said.

“The revolutionary youths present in Yemen’s squares do not accept the UN Security Council resolution which, in fact, supports the Yemeni president,” Khaled al-Madani, leader of Shabab al-Smood (Youth Withstand) movement, told FNA on Sunday.

“The Yemeni revolutionaries are capable of overthrowing Saleh’s regime and bringing him to trial and they strongly reject the UNSC resolution which is based on a Saudi initiative,” he added.

He said Saleh has played all its winning aces and has no more card in his hand to play for a new political maneuvering.

“We, as Yemen’s revolutionary youths, reject any foreign intervention in Yemen’s affairs and are well informed that the US, followed by Israel, are striving to fool the Yemeni people with such resolutions to win their permission for a military intervention in Yemen as this country enjoys unique wealth and riches.

“That’s why different sides, emboldened by the interference of Saudi Arabia which still has parts of Yemen’s territories under its occupation, are in conflict over our country.

“But we, the revolutionary youths of Yemen, have undertaken to regain our national sovereignty and territories,” he concluded.
