Raeisi Calls for Unity Among Muslim Nations to Halt Israeli Aggression

President Ebrahim Raeisi has urged Muslim nations to work together in order to safeguard the rights of the Palestinians who are suffering oppression and to deter the Israeli regime from carrying out further acts of aggression.

On Wednesday, President Raeisi spoke with Haitham bin Tariq Al Said, the Sultan of Oman, over the phone and strongly condemned the “brutal crimes” perpetrated by the Israeli regime against the “defenseless fasting Palestinian people.”

Raeisi stated that without a doubt, the collaboration, unity, and agreement among Islamic countries will be successful in hindering the aggression of the Zionists and accomplishing the lawful rights of the Palestinian people.

In recent months, the Israeli regime has increased its violent attacks on Palestinian towns and cities in the occupied territories, prompting the remarks.

The result of these attacks has been tragic, with dozens of Palestinians losing their lives and many more being arrested during raids mainly conducted in the occupied West Bank.

There has been a concerning increase in attacks during Ramadan this year, with Israeli forces attacking al-Aqsa Mosque, the third holiest site in Islam, in the Palestinian city of al-Quds, as well as detaining worshippers during prayer.

Dozens of defenseless Palestinian worshippers were beaten and arrested by Israeli forces in raids which sparked strong condemnation from Muslim nations around the world.

It is thought that the emergence of a new Muslim coalition in the area may strengthen the fight against the Israeli occupiers.

During his conversation with the Iranian president, the Sultan of Oman expressed his condemnation of the desecration of the Al-Aqsa Mosque, stressing that Oman will remain committed to the Palestinian cause until the rights of Palestinians are fully restored.

The two leaders exchanged well-wishes on the occasion of Eid al-Fitr, a celebration marking the conclusion of the Ramadan fasting period.

The officials at the top discussed the condition of collaboration between the two countries, underlining the necessity of following through on the plans that had been made in various areas.

President Raeisi had previously conducted individual conversations with representatives from various Muslim nations to address the Palestinian question.

Oman has taken a lead role in fostering unity and cooperation between nations in the vicinity, playing a major part in mediating a peace accord between Tehran and Riyadh and in the current discussions aiming to reduce tensions between Tehran and Manama.
