EU attempt against Hezbollah, silence over Israel crimes dubious

Ambassador and Deputy Permanent Representative of the Islamic Republic of Iran to the United Nations, Gholam-Hossein Dehghani, has blasted the mum kept by EU vis-à-vis the crimes committed by the Zionist regime of Israel and at the same time enlisting Hezbollah as terrorist group as a dubious and discriminatory act.

According to IRNA, addressing the UN Security Council, Dehghani criticized on Tuesday the recent decision made by EU against the Lebanese Hezbollah and said that Hezbollah is a Resistance movement against occupation and also an interwoven part of Lebanon’s society and social structure. He underlined that such an act would not damage legitimacy of the movement as a Resistance groups, but it would only complicate the conditions in the Middle East.
On behalf of the Non-Aligned Movement before the United Nations Security Council Open debate “Situation in the Middle East; including the Question of Palestine”, the Iranian official strongly lambasted the expansionist policy of the Zionist regime and said that the regime still insisted colonialist behavior in the occupied lands of Palestine, pushing forth unprecedentedly the illegal Zionist settlement constructions since seven years ago.
Ambassador and Deputy Permanent Representative of the Islamic Republic of Iran to the United Nations referring to the fact that the Zionist regime has installed more than 1,000 residential units in the past month in the Zionist townships and its destructive impact on the life of the Palestinians said that the continuation of the Zionist settlement constructions is ‘illegal’ and ‘provocative’ and indication of the regime’s intention to go ahead with its occupation policy and suppression.
