Rohani forms evaluation committees

Hassan Rouhani campaign manager says the Iranian president-elect has established a number of committees to evaluate the country’s situation.
Mohammad-Reza Nematzadeh said Saturday that Rouhani had established committees comprised of experts and advisors who are evaluating the current situation of the country and proposing approaches for the next Iranian administration.

Rouhani secured an outright victory in Iran’s presidential election by garnering more than half of the 36.7 million ballots cast.

Nearly 50.5 million Iranians were eligible to participate in the presidential election. The voter turnout in the election was 72.7 percent, according to the Interior Ministry.

Rouhani currently represents Leader of the Islamic Revolution Ayatollah Seyyed Ali Khamenei in the Supreme National Security Council and is also a member of the Expediency Council and the Assembly of Experts. He is also the president of the Expediency Council’s Center for Strategic Research.
