Rouhani calls for measures to help boost national production

President Hassan Rouhani on Saturday called for balanced distribution of credits to help boost national production. The president was speaking during a meeting of board of trustees of National Development Fund.

Rouhani called for revising interest rates for industry and agriculture sector. He also stressed that interest rates have to be lowered for projects linked to undeveloped areas and knowledge-based companies.

During the meeting, the participants decided on funds to be allocated from National Development Fund to different sectors next year.

According to their decision, $5.4 billion will be allocated to water sector, nearly $10 billion to oil and gas sector, $6.2 billion to petro chemistry and refineries, $1 billion to agriculture and treatment and transfer of water, $2.6 billion to railways, $3.3 billion to power plants and $3.2 to development of steel cycle.
