Russia: Militants Sites in Damascus Eastern Suburbs Launched the Chemical Rocket

“The immediate, fierce propaganda against the Syrian government asserts that there is a pre-planned provocative action,” it said.

“What proves this hypothesis is that the propaganda synchronized with the commencement of the international investigation into the use of chemical weapons in Syria,” the statement added.

“Russia calls for a professional, objective investigation into what happened, and all the parties that monitor the militants have to stop their provocative actions.”

The Russian ministry statement considered that the opposition appeared to be trying to undermine the chances of all sides agreeing to sit down for peace negotiations.

The spokesman of the Russian Foreign Ministry, Alexander Lukashevich, stressed that the Syrian militant groups are unable to change the game rules of the battlefield to meet their favor, despite the fact that the average number of militants that flocked to Syria during these two years is almost equal to the that of the militants who flocked to Iraq between 2005-2007.
