Russian Envoy: Brahimi to brief Security Council on situation in Syria

Russia’s permanent envoy to the UN, Vitaly Churkin, announced that the UN Envoy to Syria, Lakhdar Brahimi, will brief the Security Council on Wednesday on the details of situation in Syria.

“Brahimi expressed his will to contact the UN Security council on Wednesday… we will listen to him, today we will not discuss the Syrian issue,” Churkin said at a Security council session on the latest events in Libya.
