Salehi determined to continue AEOI current programs

Head of the Atomic Energy Organization of Iran (AEOI) Ali Akbar Salehi has said he is determined to pursue programs set by former AEOIˈs officials.

According to IRNA, Salehi who served as Iran’s former foreign minister (January 2011-August 2013), has recently been appointed as the AEOIˈs chairman by President Hassan Rohani.
He said he is to continue the organization’s programs which ˈare already well-defined and clear in all aspects.ˈ
Reiterating the peaceful nature of Iran’s nuclear program, Salehi said the issue of Iran’s nuclear program is one of the focal topics in the International Atomic Energy Agency (IAEA).
He stressed he would try to settle the issue with the help of a ˈcohesive negotiating teamˈ which is to be named by President Rohani in a near future.
Salehi said as for the date or venue of the next round of talks between Iran and the 5+1 group, ˈNothing has been clear yet.ˈ
