Lebanon Mufti condemns Beirut blasts

One of the prominent scholars of Lebanon condemned the recent terroristic blast near Islamic Republic of Iran embassy in Beirut.
Sheikh Muhammad Rashid Qabani, the prominent Sunni scholars of Lebanon condemned the “appalling” bombings outside the Iranian Embassy in the Lebanese capital, Beirut, calling for the punishment of those behind the terrorist attacks, reported Taqrib News Agency (TNA).

Sheikh Qobani underscored the Israeli regime is behind the deadly terrorist bombing, stating that the regime spare no malignant effort to fulfill its willful aims in the region.

The Sunni cleric expressed deep sorrow to the honorable bereaved family of the late ayatollah, his disciples and religious scholars, praying for patience to the family of the martyred for their lost.

At least 23 people, including Iran’s cultural attaché to Beirut Hojjatoleslam Ebrahim Ansari, were killed and more than 140 injured in two explosions that struck near the Iranian Embassy in the southern neighborhood of Janah in Beirut on Tuesday.

An al-Qaeda-linked group, Abdullah Azzam Brigades, has claimed responsibility for the bombing.
