US-backed Saudi Forces Arrest Muslim Cleric for Organizing Rallies against Blasphemous Movie

Saudi security forces arrested Sheikh Hossein al-Raazi, a senior Muslim cleric, in al-Omran village for organizing a rally against a sacrilegious movie recently produced by an American-Israeli man in the US against Islam’s prophet.

The Saudi regime detained the 60-year-old cleric in al-Ahsa region after he invited and organized peaceful protests on Friday to condemn the insult leveled against the prophet of Islam in the US-Israeli movie, called “Innocence of Muslims”.

The Muslim cleric is suffering a heart disease and needs special medical care. His relatives say they are serious concerned about Raazi’s health conditions.

Al-Raazi had blamed the US and the Zionist regime for the release of the blasphemous movie, and called for the trial of those elements behind the production of such films.

The Saudi officials’ crackdown on angry protestors has intensified as outrage is growing across the Muslim world over the five-million-US dollar movie that has been financed by more than 100 Jews and produced by an American-Israeli man in the US.

The film called “Innocence of Muslims”, previously called Desert Warriors and Innocence of Bin Laden, is a 2012 anti-Muslim film about Prophet Mohammad (PBUH).

The anti-Islam film has drawn condemnation from numerous countries including Afghanistan, Egypt, Libya, Indonesia, Malaysia, Bangladesh, Iran, Yemen, Iraq, Pakistan, Somalia, Sudan, Morocco, Bahrain, Saudi Arabia, Kuwait, etc.

In Iran, millions of Iranians in Tehran and other cities across the country held nationwide rallies in protest against the recent desecration of Islam.
