Saudi invading vessels seized in Iranian waters

Islamic Republic of Iran has seized fishing vessels owned by Saudi Arabia in the waters of southern Iranian province of Bushehr.

According to Fars News Agency, commander of the coast guard of Bushehr Province, “Qalandar Lashkari” said the marine guards of the province have seized 3 suspected fishing vessels entering the Iranian wasters with no flags and ten people have also been arrested in this connection.
Qalandari said: “The initial reports indicate that the vessels were from Saudi Arabia, but the crew was Indian expatriates who were carrying half a ton of illegally caught fish.”
He added that a probe into the incident was under way.
According to reports, another Saudi fishing vessel with four sailors onboard, that had invaded the Iranian territorial water in the same province, was seized last week.
