Iran has spent 4.86 trillion rials (about $396 million) to rebuild areas which were damaged after an earthquake hit northwest of Iran on August 11, 2012.
The earthquake destructed over 20,000 houses in rural and urban areas.

Reconstruction operations will be completed by mid-June.

The earthquake has imposed some 11 trillion rials (about $900 million) loss on industry, agriculture, and service sectors, IRNA quoted Governor General of East Azarbaijan Province, Ahmad Alirezabeigi, as saying.

Iranian government has allocated $49 million for rebuilding and re-constructing the living houses of the quake-affected victims in the province, country’s Interior minister Mostafa Mohammad Najjar said.
