Saudi youth calls for an end to detention and uniqueness in governance

Participants in the statement assured that their most prominent demands included the release of all political prisoners and compensating them financially, stop the spying on citizens and detaining them for political reasons, the removal of secret trials, and the restructuring of the security apparatus to ensure the achievement of the fight against crime.

It was stressed that the implementation of these demands will help people live in an atmosphere free of security terrorism.
They also demanded full financial and budgets transparency, and the refusal of immunity to anyone from accounting in order to create an environment free of corruption and illegal financial privileges.
They stressed on the importance of make the Shura Council elected instead of all the appointment procedures, and giving it the right to choose the government and the election of district councils.

The demands also included freedom of expression in media, and allowing the establishment of any media unless it contains legitimacy wrongdoings as well as associations, institutions and communities.

Regarding the housing crisis, the young Saudis called on the government to redistribute the state-owned lands, and the transform the mortgage loan to a grant and raise its value to one million riyals for each person.

They emphasized on the importance of exerting every means to ease the removal of monopoly prices and to support and facilitate the import of goods.
