Save PressTV, protect free speech in UK

Press TV has launched a Facebook petition to save the news channel in the UK after Britain decided to remove it from the Sky platform.

In line with its colonialist policies, Britain decided to remove the English-language channel in an attempt to supposedly silence the voice that has lent “a voice to the voiceless.”

In December 2011, Britain’s communications regulator, Office of Communications (Ofcom) fined Press TV 100,000 pounds for what it calls breaching its broadcasting rules.

Ofcom had previously stated that it would not direct Press TV to broadcast a summary of its findings, but only to pay a fine.

Press TV has always been critical of British policies dealing the UK administration a severe blow by providing its audience with an alternative viewpoint on the events in the Middle East and the West.

Only a couple of weeks ago the Youtube found in its weekly reports that Press TV ranked first as the most popular television station in Britain.
