Sayyed Nasrallah Condoles Al-Kharafi’s Death, Hezbollah Delegation in Kuwait

Hezbollah Secretary General Sayyed Hassan Nasrallah issued a statement on Monday expressing condolences for the Kuwaiti people and government on the death of Sheikh Nasser Al-Kharafi.

“We were surprised by the early death of our loyal brother and sincere friend Sheikh Nasser Al-Kharafi and at the same time saddened for this great loss,” the statement read.

Sayyed Nasrallah praised Sheikh Nasser’s support for resistance, unity and steadfastiness in his lifetime. “He was a big supporter for the resistance in Lebanon and Palestine. He was a lover and defender for the resistance fighters in the days of hardship and oppression. He was a strong advocate for unity and convergence whether among Mouslims, Arabs ar Lebanese. He called for unity not sedition, the voice of steadfastiness and consistency rather than defeat and discouragement, a pioneer in construction not demolition and sabotage.”

“I bear witness that all this love, defensefaith and obstinacy was for Almighty Allah not for something from this world’s wreckage since he already owns enough money, fame and friends. Yet he risked all that by proclaiming all what he believes in and loves,” the satement said.

Sayyed Nasrallah extended his deepest condolences and sympathy to Al-Kharafi’s family and his brother Speaker of Kuwait National Assembly Jassem Al-Kharafi in particular, as well as his son Sheikh Marzouk Al-Kharafi.

“God bless you, O Abu Marzouk. May Almighty Allah congregate you with the martyrs whom you have loved and supported. May you rest in peace and reside in heaven,” His Eminence concluded his statement by saying.

Thousands of people including high profile businessmen, politicians and diplomats from across the region attended the funeral of Nasser Al-Kharafi yesterday morning at Sulaibikhat cemetery. Due to the large number of mourners, the Al-Kharafi family received people at their diwan in Bidaa shortly after the burial before noon.

A Hezbollah delegation, headed by Loyalty to the Resistance MP Mohammad Raad participated in the funeral of Sheikh Al-Kharafi. The delegation included Minister Hussein al-Hajj Hassan, MP Hassan Fadlallah and Haj Mohammed Zain.

The delegation conveyed the condolences of Sayyed Hassan Nasrallah to the people of Kuwait and Al-Kharafi’s family, in particular.
