Sayyed Nasrallah: Gaza resistance has right to end blockade

The resistance in Gaza has the right to fight on and achieve a true victory against Israel by forcing an end to the crippling blockade on the coastal territory, Hezbollah Secretary General Sayyed Hasan Nasrallah said.
“The resistance in Gaza is entitled to achieve a real victory,” Nasrallah said in an interview published Thursday by local daily Al-Akhbar.
“Since the war has been imposed on it, it’s the resistance’s chance to lift the [Gaza] siege,” he explained. “That’s why the resistance [Hamas] is looking for a real achievement solution: lifting the siege.”
“When a cease-fire was proposed [in the Gaza war] Palestinian factions agreed that this cannot be discussed without achieving an end to the blockade.”
“Gazans have made a decision not to surrender and to bear the consequences of their stance even at a high cost.”
In response to a question, Nasrallah said he believed the Gaza war had delayed an Israeli aggression against Lebanon.
“I can say that it has delayed the war, but I cannot say much because it is not clear under what conditions or data can Israel wage a war, if it wants to.”
Nasrallah highlighted comments made by a senior Palestinian resistance leader who said that the Gaza problem was a “problem of trust with the Israelis.”
“It’s a fundamental problem because it is between the Qatari-Turkish axis and the Saudi-UAE-Egyptian axis,” he explained.
Nasrallah reiterated that Israel “is an illegal entity and is a longstanding threat to the region.”
“We cannot live with this threat,” he said. “This is why the ultimate goal for this [region] is to eliminate [Israel].”
On Hezbollah’s involvement in Syria, Nasrallah said: “Just as we defend our borders in the south, we defend our country and our borders with Syria.”
He said many people who had rejected Hezbollah’s intervention in the Syria conflict “began changing their stances.”
“We are a resistance [group] …. Our war with the enemy and with Israel has no red lines,” Nasrallah concluded.
