Sayyid Ammar al-Hakim says, “Plurality and the diversity in the Iraqi fabric represent the source of Iraq’s strength.”

Sayyid Ammar al-Hakim, head of the Islamic Supreme Council of Iraq (ISCI), has stressed that the plurality and diversity in the Iraqi fabric represent a blessing and a source of strength if well invested, explaining that the lack of a proper management of this diversity and plurality can create division, convention and scrambling over positions and opportunities.
This came up when His Eminence met at his Baghdad office a crowd of sheikhs and dignitaries from the Shammar tribes in Babylon governorate on Sunday, March 17, 2013.
His Eminence stressed the importance of dialogue, tolerance, the dissemination of love and peaceful coexistence among components of the Iraqi society, pointing out in this regard to Iraq as a country of civilizations, riches and resources which must all be properly utilized for a promising future for the citizens, emphasizing the necessity of a broad participation in the elections and electing the most competent individual and the most capable of providing a new image about the level of services to the Iraqi citizen.
His Eminence demonstrated his understanding of the problems, service and living obstacles in the Babylon governorate which the honored guests submitted.
