Scores of Yemeni civilians have been killed or injured in Saudi airstrikes in the western Yemeni province of Ibb as the Saudi aggression against its neighboring country continues unabated.

According to Yemeni media reports on Monday, the Saudi airstrikes hit the Wadi Bani area and al-Saddah district in the province.

The reports also said at least three residential buildings were targeted in the airstrikes in the village of al-Mesqah in the district of al-Saddah, leading to the killing of several civilians.

The Saudi air assaults also targeted gathering centers of Yemen’s Ansarullah fighters in al-Saddah.

Late on Sunday, the Saudi jets carried out over thirty raids on the airport of Yemen’s southern city of Aden within a few hours.

Saudi Arabia launched its military aggression against Yemen on March 26 – without a UN mandate – in a bid to undermine the Houthi Ansarullah movement and to restore power to the country’s fugitive former president, Abd Rabbuh Mansur Hadi, who is a staunch ally of Riyadh. The strikes came in the wake of advances by Yemeni revolutionary forces, backed by Ansarullah fighters,

On April 21, Riyadh announced the end of the first phase of its military operation, but airstrikes have continued with Saudi bombers targeting different areas across the country in a new phase.

On Friday, the World Health Organization (WHO) said 1,244 Yemenis lost their lives and 5,044 others were injured from March 19 to April 27. Hundreds of women and children are among the victims, according to the WHO.
