The Syrian government forces, in a fresh round of operations on Friday, stormed the al-Nusra Front’s concentration centers in the Southern province of Dara’a and pushed them back from their positions, provincial sources said.
The sources told the FNA that strongholds of al-Nusra Front in al-Ghariyeh al-Gharbiyeh, Kafar Shams and Mhajjeh in the countryside of Dara’a province, were massively pounded by the Syrian army men, who pushed the fighter back from their frontline and killed scores of them.

On Tuesday, the Syrian Army, along with popular forces, pushed back the militant groups from some of the battlefields in Dara’a, and killed or wounded tens of the fighters.

The sources said that an arms depot of rebels was targeted by the Syrian army in al-Faqei town in the Northern countryside of Dara’a.

In the meantime, the insurgents’ centers in al-Minshia area in Dara’a al-Balad were raided by the army men, whose operation forced the rebels to retreat from the fighting area.

The surrounding areas near the Camp’s school complex in Dara’a countryside was also the scene of heavy clashes between the army men and the militant groups, who left dozens of killed and wounded behind and retreated to new positions.

The Syrian Army and government have defended their country against insurgents since 2011 when a huge number of foreign terrorists flocked to the Middle-Eastern country.

In spite of certain western states’ military and financial supports for the militants, the Syrian troops have been able to push them back from many areas across the country.

Military estimates show the fall of militancy in Syria is not far.
