Syrian Army soldiers ambushed a group of terrorists affiliated to Fatah al-Sham Front (the newly-formed al-Qaeda-affiliated terrorist group previously known as the al-Nusra Front) in Northern Quneitra, killing and wounding most of the group members.

Syrian army men ambushed a Fatah al-Sham-affiliated group, who wanted to attack army sites near al-Amal farms in Zahrat al-Kasari, Northeast of Toranjeh village, and killed or wounded most of them.

The Syrian army also seized the terrorist group’s weapons and equipment.

Fatah al-Sham’s strongholds in Tal al-Hamriyeh in Northern Quneitra also came under heavy attack by the Syrian military forces.

Reports said in late September that Syrian Army troops drove back terrorist groups from the surrounding areas of a key hilltop in Northern Quneitra, inflicting heavy casualties on the terrorists.

The army soldiers stormed the terrorist groups’ defense lines near al-Hamriyeh hilltop and pushed the militants back from part of the battlefield.

Terrorists, in a retaliatory move, shelled residential areas in the village of al-Hader, destroying the villagers’ houses.
