Senegal's Red Cross Urges Iran to Share Experiences with Dakar
Head of Senegal’s Red Cross Abdel-Aziz Diyalu called on Iran’s Red Crescent Society to share its experiences and information with Dakar.

Diyalu made the remarks while visiting the Youth Organization of Iran’s Red Crescent Society during which he also held some meetings with Iranian officials.

He viewed the relief and humanitarian trainings provided by Iran’s Red Crescent for all age groups as interesting, and said, “Senegal’s Red Cross and Iran’s Red Crescent Societies are certainly highly different since we have merely 25,000 volunteers (to attend RC programs and activities) from our 13-million-strong population.”

He further demanded the Iranian Red Crescent Society to provide the Senegalese Red Cross with its experiences and information.

Diyalu and his accompanying delegation arrived in Tehran on Sunday to closely see the Iranian Red Crescent Society’s capabilities.

On Sunday, Head of Iran’s Red Crescent Society Abolhassan Faqih voiced IRCS’s preparedness to help Senegal in rescue and relief operations.

Faqih made the remarks in a meeting with Diyalu in Tehran.

“We are sufficiently prepared in areas of treatment issues, health training and upgrading relief and rescue operations” to launch cooperation with Senegal’s RC “and we can sign a memorandum of understanding after studying the existing grounds for cooperation,” Faqih said.
