Senior Commander: Iran to Turn Enemies’ Airspace into Volcano if Attacked

Commander of Khatam ol-Anbia Air Defense Base Brigadier General Farzad Esmayeeli warned enemies to keep away from the Iranian territories, stressing that such a mistake will receive Iran’s crushing response.

“The Air Defense forces in Fordo (nuclear site) are monitoring a distance of over 200 miles,” Esmayeeli said, addressing a ceremony in the Central city of Qom on Friday.

“If the enemy makes any move, we will turn their skies into a volcano,” he warned.

Esmayeeli underscored that the Air Defense forces are always ready to confront the enemies.

In relevant remarks on Saturday, Iranian Defense Minister Brigadier General Hossein Dehqan underlined preparedness of the country’s armed forces to confront any possible threat of the enemy in proportion to the level and type of hostile moves.

“We act in proportion to the developments that take place as a result of the plots hatched by the enemies… ,” Brigadier General Dehqan told reporters.

Also in March, the General Staff of the Iranian Armed Forces underscored that Iran’s military troops are fully prepared to defend the country against enemies’ threats and give a firm response to any potential foreign aggressor.

“The Armed Forces will give a firm and remorsing response to any practical threat by the enemies, specially the US and the Zionist regime, in proportion to the level and type of the hostile attempts and within the framework of threat-against-threat,” the General Staff of the Iranian Armed Forces said in a statement on the occasion of the Islamic Republic Day (April 1).

It noted that the Iranian Armed Forces by relying on the valuable experiences of the past 37 years in confrontation with the enemies of the Islamic Revolution and the country are ready to defend the values and ideals of the Islamic ruling system.

The statement pointed to the Islamic establishment’s achievements for the human community, and said, “37 years after the victory of the Islamic Revolution in 1979, the nations and communities have waken up and the Islamic awakening movement and flags of right-seeking and freedom-seeking have opened new horizons for the future of humanity; a future that will pave the way for the salvation of the nations from backwardness as well as political, economic and cultural captivity of the oppressing powers …”
