Senior Commander Underlines US Navy’s Deep Fear of Iran’s Military Action

The US Navy is deeply fearful of Iran’s reaction to its moves and extends humble apologies to the Iranian troops any time it makes a mistake in the Persian Gulf, a deputy commander of the Iranian Armed Forces said Monday.

“Any time an incident takes place in the Persian Gulf, the US warships contact us on radio channel 16 immediately and present humble explanations and say that nothing special has happened and it has been a mistake, and announce that the action does not mean a threat (to Iran),” Major General Mohammad Baqeri said on the sidelines of a conference on the development of Iran’s Southeastern coasts of Makran underway in Chabahar, Southeast of Iran.

Also during his address to the conference, the General encouraged the country to start a voyage to the Antarctica, saying that Iran can “gain sovereignty over a part of the South Pole in accordance to the international law as the country is linked to free waters from Makran and then to the South Pole without any piece of land being on its way”.
