Senior ISIL Commander Escapes from Syria to Turkey with Hefty Amount of Money

Local sources in Eastern Syria said that a notorious commander of the ISIL terrorist group has left Deir Ezzur province for Turkey, taking away thousands of dollars.

The sources said that Mas’ab al-Rashid, a senior commander of ISIL, has left the town of Bu Amro for Turkey, taking with him $200, 000.

Relevant reports said on Monday that the army men drove ISIL out of the town of al-Hosseiniyeh after they took control over the village of al-Salehiyeh earlier this morning.

Military sources confirmed that the army has now laid siege on the ISIL in some Deir Ezzur city neighborhoods after capturing al-Salehiyeh.

Tens of ISIL gunmen were killed or wounded and their military vehicles and equipment were damaged in the operation.

Local sources reported in August that a number of ISIL’s notorious commanders, including Abu al-Hawra Tunisi, have escaped from the town of al-Mayadeen in Southeastern Deir Ezzur with $300,000.

Al-Hawra Tunisi was the official in charge of releasing ISIL’s statements.
