Settlements ruin peace with Palestine

Zionist regime’s chief negotiator in the so-called peace talks with the Palestinians says settlement construction is to blame for the failure of negotiations.

According to Press TV, Zionist regime’s top negotiator and Justice Minister Tzipi Livni told the regime’s Army Radio on Friday “The settlers want to prevent us from living a normal life and do not accept the authority of the law.”
Livni added “Tthe settlers are the ones who will prevent us from reaching a peace agreement.”
She further stated “The settlements magnify the delegitimization of Israel in the world… I can’t explain the settlements, because the people who want to build settlements are not interested in peace.”
Livni’s remarks echo those of the US special envoy for Israeli-Palestinian negotiations, Martin Indyk, who said on Thursday that the large-scale settlement activity damages “Palestinian trust in the purpose of the negotiations.”
The US-brokered negotiations reached a deadlock last month over Zionist regime’s continued settlement construction and its refusal to free Palestinian prisoners.
