Seven US-led troops die in Afghan war

At least Seven US-led foreign forces have lost their lives across Afghanistan over the past 24 hours amid rising attacks against foreign forces in the country.

NATO says two of its servicemen were killed in a bomb and a militant attack in the south, while a third soldier was killed in the east on Sunday. The US-led military alliance did not release the nationalities of the deceased soldiers.

On Saturday, four foreign soldiers, including two Americans, were killed in separate attacks.

The two US soldiers were killed in a shooting by an Afghan guard.

The latest deaths bring to at least to 293 the foreign military fatalities in Afghanistan so far this year.

According to official figures, more than 2,574 foreign soldiers have been killed in Afghanistan since the US-led invasion of the country in 2001.
Western public opinion is growing increasingly tired of the war and the mounting casualties.
