‘Several’ killed in Switzerland shooting

An unknown number of people have been killed in a gun shooting incident in Switzerland’s northern canton of Aargau.

Officials said on Sunday that the shootings took place late Saturday in Würenlingen town, located in the district of Baden.

Police sources said in a statement that they found “several” bodies outside a house in a residential area, after receiving calls from residents who reported hearing gunshots.

Police said they are investigating the possible motive behind the killings as the identities of the victims have not yet been determined.

Würenlingen has a population of some 4,500 people and is situated northwest of Zurich, near the country’s border with Germany.
