Several Salafi Groups Oppose ISIL’s Islamic Caliphate Announcement

“The conditions are not set for the creation of an Islamic caliphate, specially if this caliphate will be set up by the ISIL,” part of the statement by the Takfiri groups said.

The Salafi groups headed by the Islamic Front affiliated to the Muslim Brotherhood of Syria said that the announcement by the ISIL is shrugging shoulder from the savage crimes committed by them.

ISIL leader Abu Bakr Al-Baghdadi, who was a detainee at US Bucca prison in 2005, has announced himself as the caliph of the Muslim world.

On Sunday, Baghdadi appointed Abdul Salam al-Ordoni, as emir for Lebanon and set up camps to train militants to be sent to the country for terrorist attacks.

Ordoni was reportedly behind explosions carried out by two Saudi individuals last week at Beirut’s Duroy Hotel, in which a dozen people were injured.

ISIL is a Takfiri extremist group which has its roots in the insurgency against the US-led invasion on Iraq in 2006, and was later developed to a bigger group in Syria in 2012.

The group is known to be responsible for mass murders and extremist acts of violence across Syria and Iraq.

In Syria, army troops inflicted heavy losses on the armed groups across Syria, killing many militants.
A military source said that army units targeted the armed groups in the villages of al-Shindakhiyeh, Abu Jaris, Abu Tarrakha, Manoukh and al-Khal in Homs countryside, killing and injuring a number of their members and destroying their cars and weaponry, the state media reported.

The source added that army units targeted an armed group in Bait Um Riyad neighborhood in al-Rastan, killing and injuring a number of militants.

The army also destroyed a car with all the militants inside it in Jabourin area in the countryside.

Also, Russia called on the United Nations Security Council (UNSC) to support a draft statement, blocking crude oil trade by terrorist groups operating in Syria.

“One of the sources of financing of terrorists in the Middle East is the illegal sale of oil; and various countries are buying through intermediaries,” Russian Ambassador to the United Nations Vitaly Churkin.

“We know that terrorist organizations are doing illegal oil trading from the territories of both Syria and Iraq (so since)… it is a terrorist organization, those who are buying this oil are financing terrorism.”

The draft statement expresses UNSC’s concern over the seizure of oil fields in Syria by the Takfiri militants of the ISIL and the Al-Qaeda-affiliated al-Nusra Front.

The text will soon be discussed at a council session and should be adopted unanimously by all 15 council members.

It also “encourages all member states to take necessary measures to prevent their nationals and entities and individuals in their territory from engaging in any commercial and financial transactions with respect to crude oil in Syria in the possession of non-state actors or sold by them”.
