Syrian scholar attending Islamic Unity Conference in Tehran expressed regret over the present situation in his country and stressed the only ways against the critical situation in Syria include uprooting terrorism and extremism and also severing the financial and weaponries to the terrorist groups in the country.

Mohammad Adib al Homavi, Sunni cleric from Syria, in an interview with Iran’s IRNA News Agency on the sideline of the 29th Islamic Unity Conference called Palestine as the most important issue for the world of Islam expressing concern that the current crises have deviated attentions from the issue of Palestine, reported Taqrib News Agency (TNA).

He said,” Had some Arab and Islamic states specified only a part of the fund they spend for financial and military aids to terrorist groups for defending Palestinian nation, the Occupied Lands would have been liberated now.”

Syrian cleric extended gratitude for the Islamic Republic of Iran for holding annual Islamic Unity Conference is true manifestation of the lifestyle of Prophet Mohammad (PBUH) in boosting fraternity and equality among Muslims because it was the strategy of Prophet Mohammad (PBUH) to create unity, affection and honesty, a strategy which has been revived in this conference.”

The cleric noted the only ways against the critical situation in Syria include uprooting terrorism and extremism and also severing the financial and weaponries to the terrorist groups in the country.

Mohammad Adib al Homavi hailed congregation of more than 400 elites, thinkers and intellectuals from the world of Islam sharing their unanimous views on promotion, Qur’anic and Islamic transcendence away from intrigues and extremism.

29th Islamic Unity Conference was held in the Iranian capital of Tehran on 27-29 December 2015 convening more than 300 officials and Islamic thinkers from 70 countries across the globe to discuss the current crises of Muslim world.
