Shateri assassination reveals West’s false claims

A member of Iran’s Majlis (Parliament) in Tehran on Saturday referred to assassination of Brigadier General Hassan Shateri as a crime proving the West’s false human rights claims.

Mohammad Ali Esfanani, rapporteur of Majlis Legal and Judicial Commission, told IRNA that Shateri had travelled to Lebanon to carry out reconstruction projects in that country.
The parliamentarian further said the Zionist regime has to be accountable for the crime against Shateri.
The MP further announced that the Majlis Legal and Judicial Commission will examine the issue soon.
Meanwhile, a Lebanese Christian MP condemned assassination of head of Iran’s Reconstruction Headquarters in Lebanon, Brigadier General Hassan Shateri, and said that the assassinators are those who mercilessly martyr the Palestinian, Syrian and Lebanese people.
Talking to IRNA, Marwan Fares added that the terrorists intend to block development of the destroyed areas in Lebanon, but Iran will continue the reconstruction operations in the country.
He further noted that terrorist groups massacre those who serve the Lebanese nation. Lauding Shateri’s efforts to help reconstruct Lebanon, Fares condoled his family on his martyrdom.
Martyr Shateri who was in Aleppo to implement reconstruction and development projects in that city, was assassinated by Syrian terrorists while he was on his way to the Damascus airport to return to Lebanon.
