Sheikh Qassem: ’’Israeli’’ Threats of No Value, Betting on Gov’t’s Resignation Delusional

Hizbullah Deputy Secretary General His Eminence Sheikh Naim Qassem stressed that “an international conspiracy along with some Arabs was hatched against Syria, with the aim of thwarting the Syrian regime.”

In his speech at al-Mahdi school in Beirut, he stated that “such a conspiracy is due to the fact that Syria denotes a state of prevention and resistance in the region in face of the attempts to change the region’s map to become in harmony with the American-Zionist project.”

“Today, do you hear any one mentioning the “Israeli” occupation to more lands in al-Quds or the escalation of assassinations against Palestinians? Does they talk about the daily “Israeli” threats to Iran, Syria, Hizbullah and the Palestinians?” Sheikh Qassem wondered.

He further asserted that “such threats are of no value because if “Israel” was able to occupy and invade, it would have to done this since years ago, but it is full aware of the fact that the resistance is ready to respond at any time.”
“After today, “Israel’s” existence is doubted while that of the resistance is inevitable,” he confirmed hoping that “soon, “Israel” will no more exits.”
In parallel, His Eminence hailed the German writer Günter Grass who made nothing but had the courage to say the reality concerning nuclear “Israel”.

On the internal level, Sheikh Qassem considered that “whoever has been betting on the government’s resignation has been delusional.”
The Deputy secretary General stressed on main issues of utmost priority at this stage, “namely the need to protect Lebanon against the “Israeli” danger and any political project that serves the “Israeli” enemy.”
“This can only be achieved through the resistance and the comprehensive, strong and persistent formula of the “resistance, army and the people,” His Eminence stated.
He also urged the government “to actively cater the people’s needs and to complete various appointments, which is a responsibility shouldered by the President of the Republic, Prime Minister, the whole government and all sides.”
He moved on to refer to another issue in need of attention, namely “the completion of a fair and just electoral law that can yield a true representation of the people.”
