Sheikh Salah: The Zionist project is dying

Head of the Islamic Movement in the 1948 occupied lands Sheikh Ra’ed Salah expressed his belief that the Arab region would see radical changes in the near future, including the decay and demise of the Zionist project.

In a press statement to the Palestinian information center (PIC), Sheikh Salah emphasized that the Israeli occupation regime is trying to divide the Aqsa Mosque between Muslims and Jews as it has done with the Abrahimi Mosque in Al-Khalil city, and it is in the process of dividing the Aqsa, although it has not declared this in public.

“The division is a transitional goal because [the Israeli occupation] is still determined to achieve its ultimate aim, which is the building of the temple in place of the Aqsa Mosque, and today we are facing a kind of bullying by the occupation which uses all means to fulfill its interim objective and strive to reach the ultimate end,” head of the Islamic Movement underlined.

“The issue of Jerusalem is not humanitarian in order to deal with it as if its natives need food because it is a question of rights and sovereignty under occupation and in danger, and it is an issue of illegal presence of occupation trying to Judaize the land of Jerusalem, its homes, holy sites and institutions and ethnically cleanse our people in Jerusalem,” he stressed.

In another context, the Islamic Movement official expressed his optimism that the new Egyptian president would be supportive for the Palestinian cause, especially the issue of Jerusalem.

He also urged the Islamic and Arab nations to mobilize their efforts to swiftly liberate Palestine from the Israeli occupation.
