Grand Ayatollah Mohammad Hassan Akhtari, Secretary General of Ahlul Bayt (AS) World Assembly, attended the conference on “Imam Ali (AS), Axis of Shia Sunni Unity” highlighting the key role of leadership method maintained by late Imam Khomeini (RA) and the Supreme Leader’s stress on Islamic unity, reported Taqrib News Agency (TNA).

He said,” Imam Ali (AS) recommendations in Nahjul Balagha (compilation of sermons, remarks and letters by first Shia Imam) are derived from holy Qur’an and are an important element in unifying Islamic nation.”

The cleric noted,” Imam Ali (AS), similar to Prophet Mohammad (PBUH), banned Muslims from bloodshed though now Saudi rulers, as Wahhabis and puppets of the arrogant powers, permit the killing of Shia Muslims and constantly stress the commitment of the crime contrary to the holy book of Islam and Prophet Mohammad (PBUH).”

Shia cleric stated,” In spite of the massive finances spent by Wahhabis for sparking disagreement between Shia and Sunni Muslims, the majority of Muslims across the globe oppose their dividing policies and in Iran also Shia and Sunni communities are arrayed in one line against Wahhabi intrigues.”
Hujjat-ul-Islam Akhtari called world Muslims to set the unity in Iranian community as an example and said,” World arrogant powers are struggling to create division among Muslims and appearance of Daesh and other terrorist groups is the result of the same policy.”

Iranian cleric denounced world arrogant powers for dividing Muslims through their petrodollars saying appearance of Daesh is an instance of that.

He said,” To divide Muslims, be it by Shia or Sunno Muslims, is in contrast with messages of God Almighty” adding,” Over one billion 700 million Muslims are living across 56 Islamic countries and this massive population can make great moves only after they have maintained their unity.”

Top cleric rebuked Saudi rulers for introducing Islam as the religion of violence while Prophet Mohammad (PBUH) and Imam Ali (AS) were sources of kindness and serving humanity.

He slammed the crimes committed by Al Saud in Bahrain and Yemen and expressed regret over silence of the international community on countless crimes committed by Saudi Arabia in different countries.
