TV series on Imam Khomeini’s residence in France

A tv series under the title of “116 days in Neauphle-le-Château” will be aired during the Iranian month of Bahman (February).

The theme of the series is about the late Imam Khomeini’ exlie and his short residence in Neauphle-le-Château, a village in France as well as the impact of Imam’s conduct on the people of the Village, producer Abdulhamid Arjmand said.

The series which has been produced by Sima Film is in decoupage stage, he added.

He noted that 345 actors and actress have played in the eleven-episode series, 25 of them in main roles.

Before heading for Iran on February 1, 1979 from a 14-year exile, Imam Ruhollah Mousavi Khomeini spent about 4 months in Neauphle-le-Château village, France.

The period is still a sweet reminiscence for many residents in the village as they found the rare opportunity of getting acquainted with the lifestyle of the great man of century first-hand against the tide of adversary media propaganda.
